SACRAMENTO — October 26, 2026. Residents and businesses traveling on Arden Way, Auburn Boulevard and Harvard Street have an opportunity to influence road-safety planning before a final design is chosen. The City of Sacramento is holding an Arden–Auburn Mobility Plan community workshop Wednesday, October 28, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Hilton Arden West, 2200 Harvard Street.
Which streets are being studied?
The proposed plan covers Arden Way between Del Paso Boulevard and Ethan Way and Auburn Boulevard/Harvard Street between Marconi Circle and Arden Way. The city identifies these routes as part of its Vision Zero High Injury Network, where severe traffic collisions have been a recurring concern. Options under study relate to safer walking, cycling, transit and driving, while accounting for housing, jobs and business access.
Comment period goes beyond this week’s meeting
Residents who cannot attend October 28 may still review the draft plan through November 25, 2026 and submit feedback through the project website. The city says the plan is supported by a Caltrans Sustainable Transportation Planning Grant, and officials are seeking community feedback before recommendations are finalized.
The workshop is not the start of a confirmed road closure or construction project. Proposals are being evaluated; residents should not assume bike lanes or revised traffic movements have already been approved on every block.
