SACRAMENTO COUNTY — November 4, 2026. Flojaune “Flo” Cofer held an early lead over Sacramento City Councilmember Eric Guerra in the contest for Sacramento County Board of Supervisors District 1. The PBS KVIE newsroom Abridged reported that at the 10 p.m. November 3 update, Cofer had 52.17% of counted votes and Guerra 47.83%, a difference of 1,714 votes. The report stated that approximately 25.28% of the estimated vote had been counted at that time.

What District 1 represents

The district includes parts of Sacramento’s Midtown, Downtown, Oak Park, East Sacramento, North Sacramento and Natomas neighborhoods. County supervisors govern a broader range of services than a city council: they make decisions on county budgets, public health, community programs, roads and services for people across city and unincorporated areas.

What the candidates said on election night

Abridged reported that Cofer addressed supporters at a gathering at Calabash Caribbean on Del Paso Boulevard and described her public-health background and ambitions for county governance. Guerra attended an election-night event downtown and has discussed homelessness services and public safety as campaign priorities. Their statements are attributed to the candidates and should not be confused with an independent assessment of their proposals.

Close results still need canvassing

Even though Cofer had an early lead, the cited report covered only a fraction of the estimated count. Additional valid ballots can affect the margin. California58 is not declaring the office officially filled based on this first Election Night report.
